Another favorite of mine, this time inspired by my fave MLP villain, King Sombra. Poor dude gets a bad rap for being less charismatic than the other villains, but that's what I like about him. He's a cold, ruthless tyrant that doesn't mess around or ham it up (which is exactly why I hate his return episode, where they make him a foppish ponce and therefore a million times less interesting. Oh well, at least he had a cool death).

Anyway, even disconnected from the character I still think this is one of the best pieces of atmosphere I've made. It's cold, sharp, and grandiose, but there's still a bit of light in it, like the pivotal moment of a fierce fight against someone much stronger than you. It looks grim and you're on the losing edge but there's still hope to deal that killing blow and win.
